The Instructors here at Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Eastlake have over 25 combined years of experience in training, teaching, and competing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. There is truly a synergistic vibe that you will find between Professor Elias Gallegos and Professor Jimmy Sanchez. Both instructors have been friends for well over 15 years and have seen each other grow in the sport that they love so dearly. In fact to both men, Jiu-Jitsu is more than a sport, it is a martial art that is a way of life. They have been each others main training partner for well over a decade since their days at the Fabio Santos Academy. What you get when you train here with us at Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Eastlake is something that you just don’t see at other BJJ academies, two Black belts on the mat at the same time instructing the class. Each one brings their own special flavor in the way that they instruct. Jimmy is known for his excellent guard game and dangerous sweeps while Elias’ punishing top game and aggressive style are tough for anyone to deal with. What you get is two instructors, friends, brothers, with two completely different styles of Jiu-Jitsu that will be able to help anyone regardless of age, gender, or athletic ability be able to apply the moves of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in a friendly, family, safe environment.
