Every Tuesday night for the past 9 years, Lestat’s Coffeehouse in Normal Heights has played host to one of the longest running comedy nights in San Diego. The shows are all ages and always free, featureing a steady stream of up-and-coming local comics and established Hollywood heavyweights. Hosted by Christian Spicer & Rajans Dharni. 9 p.m. All Ages (FREE) 3343 Adams Avenue.
For a rough around-the-edges-comedy show, Bar Eleven hosts a comedy open-mic every Wednesday, featuring a plethora of local up-and-comers performing for your enjoyment, and more often than not, disdain. The bar also has a large selection of beers which is always helpful when enjoying live comedy. Hosted by Nick Crosby. 9 p.m. 21+ (FREE) 3519 El Cajon Blvd.
One of the newest comedy shows in San Diego, Buster’s Comedy Night is one of the only places to catch stand-up comedy in San Diego’s South Bay. The show was created by local comic Ben Garcia Reyes and features an open-mic from 6:30 to 7:55, followed by Buster’s Comedy Showcase. 8 p.m. All Ages (FREE) 740 Bay Marina Drive.
