The Tipsy Crow:
One of the only comedy nights in downtown San Diego, The Gaslamp Comedy Show at The Tipsy Crow has steadily become a fan favorite over the years. Hosted by hometoen hero Mal Hall, the shows feature numerous local comics as well as established Hollywood headliners. 7:30 p.m. 21+ ($10) 770 Fifth Ave.
Martinis Above Fourth:
Held on the second Thursday of every month, Martinis Above Fourth in Hillcrest hosts "Laugh Out Proud" - the only gay-produced comedy show in San Diego featuring, "the region's best out and allied comedians." Hosed by local comics Sarah Buford and Sean Wherley. 8 p.m. 21+ (FREE) 3940 Fourth Ave.
FRIDAY
Winston’s:
An institution of Ocean Beach, Winston’s hosts one of the longest running comedy shows in San Diego with Ocean Beach Comedy. The show takes place every Friday night beginning with an open-mic at 6 p.m. and is followed by the OBC showcase from 8 to 9 p.m. The shows feature an eclectic grab bag of novice comics and seasoned veterans. Hosted by OBC regulars Jesse Egan & Jeff Bilodeau. 6 p.m. 21+ ($5) 1921 Bacon St.
Doc’s Saloon:
Located inside of Joey’s Smokin’ B.B.Q in the VONS shopping center in La Costa, Doc’s Saloon hosts a Comedy Night on the first and third Friday of every month, and is one of the few places to see live stand-up in North County. Hosted by Aaron Hughes and Stan Simmons. 8:30 p.m. 21+ ($10) 6955 El Camino Real.
On Broadway:
The final Friday of every month, the On Broadway Event Center hosts The Wild Card Comedy Show. Hosted by local comedians Mike Wentz and FIDUCE, the shows feature some of the best of San Diego’s up-and-coming comedians. 7 p.m. 21+ ($15) 615 Broadway.
