Coronado Ferry Provides Scenic Ride to Downtown
Looking for an inexpensive way to enjoy the views and scenery of Coronado and downtown San Diego? We suggest taking the Cabrillo ferry, which shuttles from the Coronado Ferry landing to Broadway pier, near Gaslamp and East Village. Running from 9am to 9pm* (an additional ferry runs at 10pm on Friday and Saturday) this is a great sight-seeing opportunity, as well as a quick way to move between Coronado Island and the downtown area without having to take a more traditional method such as a car, taxi or bus.
The Cabrillo ferry actually starts its day at 5:40am, moving local commuters to and from Coronado for free. After 8:50am, a charge of $4.25 applies to those age 3 and up, offering a 15 minute cruise to all that are interested – bicycles and Segways are welcome at no additional cost.
