Disneyland is the only theme park designed, built, opened, and operated by Walt Disney himself. Currently the park has been visited by more than 515 million guests since it opened, including presidents, royalty and other heads of state. It is the second most visited park in the world, behind the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.

$12.00 for cars and motorcycles, $17.00 for oversized vehicles motor homes and tractors without trailers, $22.00 for buses and tractors with extended trailers

Summer hours are 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m. Regular Hours are 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Disneyland Fun Facts:

• Find the hidden Mickey on every ride.

• There is not one place in the whole park without music playing.

• Disneyland changes flowers and lights for every season.

• Whenever a new ride is built, a piece is left behind from the old ride.

• Disneyland has an entire full farm of animals back stage.

• All street sweepers have stickers and buttons you can ask for.

• The oval mirror in the Mad Hatter's Shoppe will reveal the Cheshire Cat (from Alice in Wonderland) every few seconds.

• There is a basketball court inside the very top of Matterhorn Mountain. Cast members often play on the Matterhorn basketball court.

• The Haunted Mansion is really located outside of Disneyland the "stretching" room or the portrait hall. The stretching room is an actual elevator that takes you underground into a soundstage-type building under Disney’s railroad tracks.

Disneyland Interesting & Important Tips

• The best time to visit Disneyland is early September, when the weather is warm but not hot, school has started and crowds are light. Second best time to visit is May. However, if you decide to visit on less crowded days, be aware that park hours are shorter, more rides may be closed for maintenance and fast Passes may not be offered.

• Adults with kids do not have to stand in line if the ride is only for the adult. For example: If Mom wants to ride Space Mountain but Dad and kids do not, tell the ride attendant and show him your family. He will allow Mom to go in a special, shorter line.

• Bring sealed bottled water into the park. Water and soft drinks are about $2.75 and many rides may make you throw them away anyway.

• Parents must ride with toddlers on rides. The best rides for toddlers are: It's a Small World, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Casey Jr. Circus Train, The Monorail and The Railroad.

• To reach Disneyland directly and speak with a real person call: 714-781-7290.

• California Adventure Park usually opens at 10 a.m. and closes 2-3 hours earlier than Disneyland. Disneyland is always open from AT LEAST 10am - 8pm.

• On a cold day, head for the Grand Californian Hotel and lounge by their huge outdoor fireplace. It’s free and you don’t need to be a guest staying there.

Adults Pay Kids' Price
From January through early spring everyone pays the kids’ admission fee.

Free Admission on Your Birthday
In 2009 you can get into Disneyland free on your birthday by registering a few weeks ahead of time on their website.

Southern California CityPass
You can get 3-Day Disneyland Tickets, tickets for one day each at Universal Studios, Sea World and your choice of a ticket to the San Diego Zoo or San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park. The total discount is approximately 30%, and you can buy the passes online in advance, or at the gate of any of the participating attractions.
