LEGOLAND California is an amusement park located in Carlsbad with more than 50 Lego block-themed family rides and attractions. The Park is aimed specifically toward youngsters ages 2 up to 12.  It is the third LEGOLAND to open and is the only one outside of Europe. LEGOLAND is split into nine areas: The Beginning, Dino Island, Explore Village, Fun Town, Knight's Kingdom, Miniland USA, Pirate Shores, Imagination Zone, and Land of Adventures.

San Diego Legoland Interesting & Important Facts..

• There are over 50 rides and attractions.

• You can upgrade a paid one-day ticket to a 2-day ticket for only $15 more. Stop by Guest Services before you exit the park on your first day and purchase the upgrade.

• Legoland is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the school year and closes between 5 and 6 p.m. on other days. The least crowded days are during school weekdays. If you can’t make that, just arrive early.

• The smallest model in the Park is a duck hanging in the window in Chinatown in the so-called Miniland San Francisco area.

• The largest model in the Park is Bronte with a total of 2 million bricks.

• The largest selection of LEGOS in the nation is located in The Big Shop located in The Beginning. These can be shipped anywhere in the world.

• Smoking is prohibited anywhere in the park. The only smoking section is located outside of the Park.

• Stroller rentals are to be found at The Marketplace, in The Beginning. All rentals are first-come, first-serve.

• All rides, shows and attractions are included with your admission price. However, about 11 other special activities cost extra.

• Legoland Cruise is a popular attraction for adults.

• Park is mostly aimed towards children ages 2-12.

• The rides and attractions that have no height requirements and recommended for two year olds are: Swabbies Deck – Pirate Shores, The Whimsical Ride, The LEGOLAND Express, Playtown, Water Works & The Musical Fountain – Explore Village, The Model Shop, Block of Fame, Coast Cruise & The Lake – Miniland USA, Adventurer’s Club, LEGO Club House & Factory Tours – Fun Town, The Hideaways – Castle Hill, Bionicle Evolution, Duplo Play, Build and Test – Imagination Zone.

• Rides & Activities for the older kids: Volvo Driving School: Fun Town, Aquazone Wave Racers, Treasure Falls, Lego Mindstorms Robotics, “Lego Technic” Test Track and building sets & “Bionicles” sets – Imagination Zone.

• Overnight Parking is not permitted.
