Job Description:

sandiego.com seeks a part time business writer to cover the business scene in San Diego.

Duties:

• write and file up to five 500-1000 word articles each week
• establish and maintain credentials with business news sources and San Diego based corporate PR departments
• provide digital photos when appropriate
• This is focused on San Diego businesses only

Background:

The successful applicant will present writing samples and evidence of experience at interviewing and reporting although good writers with an interest in business and good interpersonal skills should also apply. This is not a full time position so the the applicant must have steady support from another source that does not create a conflict of interest. Knowledge of the San Diego economy and relationship to the national scene will be important as will an understanding of basic economics and business principles.
