Local Portal sandiego.com, Inc. announces new CEO

15 year old company begins major reorganization

 
San Diego, July 24, 2008 – As the first of four major steps to be announced later this summer, locally owned sandiego.com, Inc. operator of the www.sandiego.com web site has announced the appointment of James J. Earwicker as CEO and member of the Board of Directors. Native San Diegan Earwicker joins the company after nearly 18 years with Wells Fargo.

“I’ve worked with James for the last nine years through the bank,” said company founder Mark S. Burgess, “and I’m very happy to hand over the CEO role to James. He’s a perfect fit for the job.” With a bachelor’s degree in physics and english from the University of Santa Barbara, James joined Great American Bank in 1990 which was later purchased by Wells Fargo. He has managed branches for the bank in Pt Loma, La Jolla and Santa Barbara as well as the entire Metro San Diego district. In 2003, he completed his MBA from San Diego State University.

"I'm impressed with what Mark has built at sandiego.com over the years,” said Earwicker, “and I’m excited to be part of its evolution to help it to grow into a more critical resource for the citizens of San Diego. I’m especially eager to help it become a more valuable partner to our advertising clients."
