About Balboa Theatre
Located in downtown San Diego, the historic Balboa Theatre originally opened in 1924 as a vaudeville house, and converted to housing for the U.S. Navy during World War II. It was closed in 1985, only to reopen in 2008 as a host for live theater and concerts. Seating capacity is 1,600.
