Countdown to SD

Feeling a little sorry for myself last week, I went searching for "cheap airfares" to San Diego. Thinking I'd never find anything in my ever shrinking budget, I was pleasantly surprisedto find airfare that I could actually afford!  Had to wait a few days to book it, making sure I could get time off work, and see if my brother would have me for a few days. Both worked out ok, so I booked it! I'll be leaving here on the evenign of June 17th! Just a little over 3 months away!

Don't forget the Lighthouse

My favorite place to bring guests when I pick them up from the airport is Point Loma Lighthouse and tidepools (aka Cabrillo Momument). Bring a "sack" lunch or pick up Subway and enjoy an afternoon there. It costs $5.00 for parking, the rest is free and you will get some of the most beautiful pictures at the TidePools and Cliffs.

Legoland is far North County
Wild Animal Park is North East County
The Zoo and SeaWorl are close enough to eachother to get a room in between them... Depends are you planning to hit all the theme parks? Maybe stay 2 nights near the Zoo and Sea World then 2 nights between Wild Animal Park and Legoland.

The airport, zoo, and Sea World are not all that far from each other. I know there's a Marriott in Old Town, which is kind of between the airport and Sea World, and there are lots of others in that general area:

Legoland is in Carlsbad, and the Wild Animal Park is in Escondido, each about 20 miles from the above in slightly different directions. Not a real long drive to either place, maybe forty-five minutes or so.

Enjoy! We were able to find FF mile tickets from Cincy->SD in early August w/o an issue.

Can anyone tell me what Marriott Hotels are closest to the most attractions? and the airport? We're looking at Legoland/Zoo/Wild Animal Park/Sea World....and maybe a drive to LA for one day....

Trying to determine the best "Marriott Hotels" to look at for "points" in promixity to these types of attractions.

Thanks!
