Mistrial Declared In Stepfather Murder Case

A mistrial has been declared in the trial of Nathaniel Gann, who is accused of fatally shooting his stepfather in the victim's Rolando home last year. Jurors told Judge Frederic Link on Wednesday that they were deadlocked, but the judge told them to continue deliberating. Today they said they were hopelessly deadlocked, 7-5, with the majority voting guilty. Prosecutors immediately requested a retrial, which was tentatively set for Jan. 20.
