September in San Diego is a fun time when the kids have gone back to school, beaches and attractions have mellowed out and the weather is still beautiful. There are lots of fun ways to enjoy San Diego this coming September, so SanDiego.com has put togehter a list of the top events and things to do in San Diego this month.

September in San Diego signals the coming and going of many things. Football season is right around the corner and baseball is on its way out. A slightly cooler version of summer in San Diego - fall, is knocking on the door. There are many fun September activities in San Diego to check out, from cruises around the bay to a celebration of all things Brazilian in Pacific Beach.

Flagship Cruises: There are a variety of aquatic San Diego September activities to take part in. If you want to hit the water in style then you’ll want to check out Flagship Cruises and Events. The cruise line offers tours around the bay lasting either an hour or two hours. The tours run either north and south of the bay (two-hour tours cover the entire route) and guests can enjoy the bay from either inside the boat or outside on the deck.

Flagship Cruises also offers cruises complete with dining. There are a multitude of options to choose from, including Sunday brunch cruises, wine Wednesdays and themed events for holidays such as Valentine’s Day and New Years Eve. Flagship Cruises also offers its boats for private events and weddings.

World Crawl San Diego: Those into meeting new people and partying in San Diego will want to check out World Crawl San Diego. World Crawl San Diego is a pub/club crawl that takes party animals to some of the hottest bars in Downtown San Diego. World Crawl San Diego is run by party pros who know how to have a good time and where the fun is at in San Diego on any given night.

World Crawl San Diego runs Thursday through Saturday with one crawl being led per night. The bars and clubs hit vary each night, so don’t worry about hitting the same bars twice should you want to spend two nights out! While groups of friends are encouraged to take part, those who fly solo will have just as much fun thanks as the crawl leaders put an emphasis on getting everyone involved in the party.

San Diego Brazilian Day Festival: One of the top September events in San Diego is the Brazilian Day Festival. September 8th is the date of the 6th Annual Brazilian Day San Diego Street Fair and Parade! The party takes up five blocks of Pacific Beach and is themed after soccer, owing to the 2014 World Cup being in Brazil. The festivities include a kids’ zone, live music and dancing across two stages and many vendors selling traditional crafts and serving up delicious Brazilian food and drinks.

The highlight of the Brazilian Day San Diego Street Fair and Parade is certain to be the carnival-style parade complete with authentic floats and crazy costumes all set to a high-energy soundtrack. Come enjoy the festivities with 60,000 of your closet Brazilian friends. Yeah, it’s that big.

San Diego Chargers Season Opener: Going to see the San Diego Chargers is one of the top things to do in San Diego come fall. September 9th is the season opener for the San Diego Chargers. America’s Finest Team takes on the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football. This will easily be one of the biggest events in San Diego during the entire month of September! Qualcomm Stadium will be rocking as diehard fans show up in force to party and cheer on the hometown team.

The game kicks off at 4:20 PM and will be nationally televised. If you can’t catch the game live then try hitting up one of the many great San Diego restaurants and bars. Fans will be come out in droves to commandeer the TVs of San Diego’s sports bars and restaurants.
