My favorite Chinese
I've sung the praises of the Rickshaw Corner before, but I continue to be amazed. This humble, shopping center Chinese restaurant is just flat out delicious. In fact, from the egg drop soup to the Mu Shu pork, this tiny diner gets my vote for the best overall Chinese restaurant in town. Their soups are all top notch... the Chow Ma a Korean style noodle soup with pork and shrimp is an incredible event for less than six bucks.
But even the humble egg drop soup is amazing at the Rickshaw. More intense fabulous flavor than any other egg drop in my career.
The Garlic Chicken is an intense flavorful experience, the Curry Shrimp with a wonderful rich flavor, the Chicken Wings In Hot Garlic Sauce crispy, garlicy, and delicious. But the Rickshaw has some more surprises up it's wok. They also serve Japanese food, and while you might ask how the quality can be kept up with so many styles, the answer is a deicious yes. The Rickshaw roll with fried shrimp, cucumber and crab first rate, and the teryaki dishes delicious. Lunches are about six bucks, dinners about seven to nine dollars, at Rickshaw Corner, my favorite Chinese in San Diego.
