Friendly service and tasty cerveza keep visitors buzzing about Miguel’s Cocina Coronado.
Tucked away in the courtyard of the historic El Cordova Hotel, it’s an easy stroll from the beach and the Hotel Del. Just follow the sounds of Spanish Music to a hearty Mexican meal.
A newly remodeled patio offers the dual comfort of enjoying great food and the breezy Coronado weather. The service is impeccable, with waiters all smiles and quick to attend.
“Customers come for the nice outdoor patio and the lively atmosphere,” said manager Gabino Romero.
Miguel’s spices up the traditional chips and salsa appetizer, going one step further by offering a cheese dipping sauce and pickled vegetables, both tasty additions perfect for soothing anxious appetites.
Try the hearty jumbo shrimp burrito, $13 (includes rice and beans) or the carnitas plate, $11. For those who fill up on appetizers, the fajitas plate is a perfect meal for two.
A particular refreshing treat is Miguel’s signature Baja Brew- a golden cerveza with a hint of fruity flavor. Served in either a pint or a 16 oz. glass, the Baja Brew compliments any Miguel’s meal.
Come for happy hour, week days between three and five, for drink and food specials. Enjoy fish tacos for $2.45 or flautas for $3.75, accompanied by a pint of Baja Brew or Dos X’s. Get there early; you'll want to stay for awhile and savor the taste of Baja.
