(VIDEO) Anthony Jeselnik Kills At Comedy Central Roast Of Donald Trump
Comedian Anthony Jeselnik was undoubtedly one of this year’s highlights of the Comedy Central Roast of Donald Trump. A former writer for Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, Jeselnik spent his adolescence in Pennsylvania and graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in stand-up comedy.
The thirty two year old comic has made numerous appearances on late night television before his roast debut, and was notably the first stand-up comedian to perform on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. A fact which he recalls at the beginning of his critically acclaimed debut album, Shakespeare, where he describes a genuine run-in with NBC's standards and practices. Throughout the album, Jeselnik maintains the laid back cadence of a cold killer who's not at all interested in powering through his material with high energy or emotion; instead letting his jokes casually unravel while revealing the darker corners of a comedians' psyche.
Recorded in May 2010 at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York City, Shakespeare is an intimate affair that has all the dry wit and dark punchlines you could ask for in a comedy album, making Jeselnik one of the names to watch in the world of stand-up comedy.
