April 16, 2011, marks the fourth annual installation of the staunchly independent “Record Store Day.” An internationally celebrated day that champions independent record stores across the globe, with events around the country happening simultaneously and including, live in-store performances, artist meet and greets with fans, and collectible vinyl releases only available on April 16.

Local indie heavyweights Pinback will be releasing a special vinyl 7” through Temporary Residence Ltd. The A-side will be called “Information Retrieved Pt. 1” and the B-side, “Thee Srum Proggitt.” There will only be 2,000 Pinback 7” pressed and packaged in an “eye-popping screen printed evidence bag” that includes “sweet full-color artwork and inserts” and is “sealed with custom printed Pinback Record Store Day evidence tape.”

Temporary Residence guarantees this limited release to sell-out quickly and assures potential buyers that they will be including “a handful of colored vinyl copies thrown in at random.” Check out the video above for a sample of what you can expect.
