Details on Adele's Cancelled North American Tour Dates
Chart topping British singer Adele has cancelled the remainder of her North American tour dates due to an ongoing bout with laryngitis.
In statement released today through her label Columbia Records, the 23 year-old songstress sent the following message to her fans: “I'm really frustrated. I was hoping with a weeks rest I'd be better to sing again straight away. However there is absolutely nothing I can do but take the doctors advice and rest some more. I'm so sorry. See you soon, Love Adele.” Adele was at the tail end of her sold out North American tour in support of her platinum selling album, 21. Plans to reschedule her cancelled shows, including her June 8 appearance at Humphrey’s in San Diego are currently being, “investigated.”
In a strange twist of fate, Swedish pop singer Lykke Li also announced that she would be cancelling her two remaining U.S. concert dates due to what her publicist described as a, “throat infection.” The FM 94.9 Independence Jam where Li was planned to appear will go on as scheduled with Surfer Blood moving onto the main stage in place of Lykke Li. Local rocker, Low Volts (aka Tim Lowman) will now perform on The Casbah stage in place of Surfer Blood.
