It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia at Comic-Con 2011
The gang spills the beans on season 7
Fans of FX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia were fortunate to have the whole cast attend the 2011 Comic-Con and also debuted clips from the forth coming season seven which is set to premiere on September 15, 2011. Originally conceived by Philadelphia born actor and writer Rob McElhenney (aka Mac/Fat Mac) and his co-star/writer/producer Glenn Howerton (Denis Reynolds) the show revolves around the adventurous exploits of, “The Gang” a group of friends that own and operate a small dive bar in South Philly called, Paddy’s Pub. Glenn Howerton and Kaitlin Olson star as Dennis and Deandra “Sweet Dee” Reynolds, the twin siblings on the show that both suffer from classic narcissism and much like the rest of the cast, have constant delusions of grandeur.
Danny DeVito plays Frank Reynolds, the elder statesmen of “The Gang” and is the “legal father” of Dennis and Sweet Dee. DeVito joined the cast at the beginning of season 2 and helped bolster the ratings with his spot on portrayal of a successful businessman entering the throes of a midlife crisis. Rob McElhenney portrays Mac, a childhood friend and eventual roommate of Dennis. Mac can best be described as a moral and physical coward, and is the one character who constantly strives to be perceived as “hard” despite his many failures at fighting and confrontations. Rounding out the cast is Charlie Day, who portrays the loveable slacker, Charlie Kelly to perfection. Charlie is also co-owner of Paddy’s Pub but is often relegated to the menial jobs at the bar such as trash removal and other custodial duties and is suspected to be borderline illiterate. He shares a small apartment with Danny DeVito’s character (Frank) and is known to suffer from deep physiological problems.
