As the holiday season approaches and San Diego’s weather takes a turn for the brisk, the editorial team at SanDiego.com combed through this week’s music listings and found the best shows happening around town this week.

The Casbah kicks off the week with triple bill featuring stoner metal band High on Fire, Indian and Sleep Lady. 2501 Kettner Blvd (21+) $18
The Tin Can Ale House and Chicken’s Don’t Clap Present Oakland’s, James and Evander, Parentz, with local bands Mystery Cave and Phen Swan. With DJ Dirty Rock & DJ Vegan. 1863 5th Ave (21+) $5
Joe Walsh’s show at The Belly Up Tavern has been rescheduled for Thursday, February 2, 2012. All tickets purchased for the 11/14 show will be honored in February.

Dub Trio (Matisyahu’s backing band) will be performing at The Casbah with support from Austin’s The Lifters. 2501 Kettner Blvd (21+) $12

The Tin Can Ale House hosts an eclectic Tuesday night bill featuring Starcrossed, Project Analogue, Pocket Rockets and Lovesoul. 1863 5th Ave (21+) $5
Post hardcore rockers Senses Fail light up House of Blues with opening acts, Stick To Your Guns, Make Do Mend and The Story So Far. 1055 5th Ave (All Ages) $19

The Static Jacks bring their unique blend of punk, garage ad soulful sounds to The Casbah with support from The Chain Gang of 1974 and LA’s Kitten. 2501 Kettner Blvd (21+) $10
Portland Oregon’s Y La Bamba bring their eclectic show to Soda Bar along with opening sets from Death Songs and Meg & Bryan. 3615 El Cajon Blvd (21+) $7
Over at House of Blues reggae rockers Dirty Heads co-headline the bill along with Gym Class Heroes with Wallpaper and Ivy League. 1055 5th Ave (All Ages) $25
Australian comedian Jim Jeffries performs to a SOLD OUT crowd at The Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach. 143 South Cedros Ave (21+)

Former Husker Du and Sugar frontman Bob Mould spends an evening at The Casbah where he’ll read excerpts from his new autobiography See A Little Light, while also performing songs that go along with the passages. Truly a unique show this is not to be missed. 2501 Kettner Blvd (21+) $20
Soda Bar hosts a free show with Vyper Skwad, Divers and Memorial (ex-Ghost Shores) 3615 El Cajon Blvd (21+) FREE

Veteran CMJ rockers They Might Be Giants return to The Belly Up Tavern with opening act Jonathan Coulton. 143 South Cedros Ave (21+) $27
Stoner rock runs rampant at House of Blues as Kyuss Lives! headlines a bill with opening sets from The Sword and Black Cobra. 1055 5th Ave (All Ages) $25

Rich Robinson from The Black Crowes takes care of the early show on double bill at The Casbah in Little Italy with opening act Dylan Leblanc. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. 2501 Kettner Blvd (21+) $15
Coming back for a second night at The Casbah is Bob Mould, as he DJ's the BLOWOFF dance party with Rich Morel. Doors open at 10 p.m. (21+) $14
