Dog Beach at Ocean Beach - The original dog beach, located in Ocean Beach, offers dogs a great place to run around off leash, and is also a great place to bring the whole family. Dogs can run in the sand, play in the waves, or in the calm of the canal, while families can relax on the beach just like any other beach, making this a great spot for the whole family to enjoy a day in the sun.
Cowles Mountain - This 1.5 mile hike to the top takes hikers to the tallest peak in San Diego and offers 360 degree views! The trail is dog friendly year round as long as dogs are on the leash.
Mission Beach/Pacific Beach Boardwalk - Although dogs are only allowed before 9 a.m. or after 6 p.m, this is a great place to bring any and all pets. There have been sightings of pet pigs, snakes, birds, cats, and other animals on the Boardwalk making it apparent that all pets are welcome.
