San Diego offers golf courses for any skill level. Whether you’re a beginner or a professional golfer, there are several courses to choose from.

There are also golf courses of all sizes. There are 9-hole courses and 18-hole golf courses for those who want to golf a longer course.

The Balboa Park Golf Course offers the best of both worlds. It features a challenging 72 par 18-hole golf course and a popular 9-hole executive golf course. It’s no wonder Balboa Park is one of the top public golf courses San Diego has to offer.

If you prefer certain golf course layouts, you'll find them here. Are you a fan of Arnold Palmer-designed golf courses? The Aviara Golf Club at the Park Hyatt features the only Arnold Palmer golf course in the city.

Golf Courses With a View

San Diego offers golf courses with a view. Some offer breathtaking views of the ocean, while others feature mountain landscapes as a backdrop. It just might be one of the most beautiful cities to enjoy a game of golf.

A US Open Golf Course in San Diego

One of the most well-known golf courses in the city is the Torrey Pines South Course, which has hosted the US Open twice. Tiger Woods defeated Rocco Mediate here back in 2008. The course spans more than 8,000 yards, making it the longest golf course in San Diego.

You can try your hand at this challenging course — or play the North Course at Torrey Pines, which is generally recommended to less experienced golfers who want a more scenic view. Either way, you can’t go wrong!
