NEW & NOTABLE

Few things are more enjoyable than eating your way through a city. In a place as diverse as San Diego, it’s even better. There is something there to satisfy everyone’s palette in the beautiful city, from fine dining staples to cool new chic restaurants.

Upscale San Diego Restaurants

America’s Finest City is home to a wide variety of fine dining restaurants. If someone is looking for a wonderful night out on the town, they have plenty of options to choose from. First of all, the city is home to four elite Michelin-star restaurants.

Those are places that have met a certain set of criteria, such as the quality of the ingredients the chef uses, the way they blend flavors, consistency across the menu, mastery of techniques, and how the chefs express their personality through their dishes. One of the restaurants in San Diego that meets that criteria is Addison, the city’s only restaurant with two Michelin stars.

There are plenty of other fine dining experiences in the city that have not yet received Michelin Stars. Some of them are also more affordable, which is a great deal for someone who wants to immerse themselves in their meal. Top of the Market seafood restaurant is one of those places.

San Diego Restaurants With a View

San Diego has some of the most beautiful views in California. The city is situated along miles of the Pacific Ocean coastline, near the Mexican border, and parts are on San Diego Bay. That gives people a lot of opportunities to find dining spots with excellent views.

A trip to Seaport Village in downtown San Diego offers an assortment of restaurants that overlook the San Diego Bay. Diners who want to experience SoCal in all of its unique glory might want to check out Malibu Farm

A quick trip across the Coronado Bridge, an experience in and of itself, will take hungry visitors and residents to Coronado Island. If someone is craving Italian food with a view of downtown San Diego, Il Fornaio is a great place to try.

New San Diego Eateries Popping Up All the Time

One of the great aspects of San Diego dining is that it's always changing. Sure, some restaurants are staples in the city, but new people are always moving in and trying to make a go of it in the hospitality industry.

That's terrific news for people who might get bored easily; they could go out to eat every night for a year, try something new every time and the next year, they will have new options. Karina’s Ceviche Bar ‘N Tacos in Barrio Logan and Pink Buddha in the Sycuan Casino Resort are two new eateries in the area.

No matter what you are looking for, America’s Finest City has something made for you.
