WATER PARKS

If you and your family love water parks, there may be no better city to be in than San Diego. Thanks to its nice year-round temperatures, most water parks in the city are open from May through October.

Water Parks in San Diego

There are several water parks in San Diego that offer all sorts of attractions, ranging from lazy rivers and wave pools to water slides and river rafts. There are water park rides for every age range, some being more family-friendly than others.

You can cool off in the lazy river, plunge down the waterslides, or ride the Flow Rider wave simulator machine at the Wave Waterpark.

The Mission Bay Aquatic Center offers a unique experience. It’s the largest man-made aquatic park in the United States. While you won’t find water park rides, you will find a place to participate in water sports like kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, wakeboarding, surfing, and windsurfing.

Amusement Parks That Offer Water Parks

There are amusement parks in the region that offer water park add-ons. You can enjoy the day riding the swings, carousel, and other rides before splish-splashing in the water park!

Sesame Place San Diego offers family-friendly water attractions at its water park. You can enjoy Oscar’s Rotten Rafts (a water raft ride), Big Bird’s Rambling River (a lazy river) or Bert’s Topsy Turvy Tunnels (tunnel slides).

When you purchase a Sesame Place park ticket, you can access both the waterpark and the dry rides. If you buy tickets to SeaWorld San Diego, Sesame Place is included in the cost of admission.

The LEGOLAND Water Park features seven slides and other attractions. To get into the water park, you must access the LEGOLAND amusement park and pay an additional fee for the park.
